Skill Bharath Program a development initiative carried out by CHORD with support from Accenture is primarily formulated to tackle one of the main causes of unemployment in India, i.e., lack of employable skill. In our society over the years there has been too much emphasis on formal / academic education and too less on the importance of developing ‘Job Worthiness’ in an individual through skill based training. Skill Bharath program was designed to right this situation and make a change in this very norm by proving through successful training and employment that a sharp change in approach is called for.
