As you are aware, our beloved Disha-CHORD school project was launched in 2015 with the aim of educating urban deprived children in Kukatpally, with support from our CSR partner, Berkadia – a US-based multinational company. Over the years, the school has achieved natural and organic growth and has evolved into a full-fledged Formal School. We were able to educate 300 children every year, and now, we’re taking it to the next level! Sensing the growing need for more classrooms and the ever increasing admissions our gracious CSR partner Berkadia has built a permanent school building for our children in Gopal Nagar, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, which can accommodate nearly 500 students.
In a glittering inaugural event organised this mornuing, the following dignitaries have participated Mr. Justin Wheeler CEO, Berkadia, Mr. Mark McCool President, CRE Berkadia, Mr.Sudipto Mukherjee, Managing Director, Berkadia, Sri. Madhavaram Krishna Rao garu , Hon’ble MLA, Kukatpally Constituency, and Sri. Mandadi Srinivasa Rao Garu, Hon’ble Corporator, KPHB Colony, Ward No: 114.
The School main gate and the class rooms have been inaugurated by Mr.Justin Wheeler, CEO, Berkadia Mr.Mark McCool, President, CRE Berkadia and Sri.Sudipto Mukherjee, Managing Director, Berkadia along with our Local MLA Sri.Madhavaram Krishna Rao Garu in the midst of rapturous claps of our children.Speaking on the Occasion Mr.Justin Wheeler, Wheeler CEO, Berkadia has expressed extreme happiness at the growth and development achieved by the School in the last eight years and he further said he is lucky and blessed to be part of this noble initiative and has appreciated the efforts of all the Berkadians in making this dream a reality.
Sri Sudpto Mukherjee, Managing Director, Berkadia felt this is a dream come true. He further added he is proud to be a Berkadian a company that upholds the highest human values and has commended the efforts put in by CHORD team and had reiterated his support to the school and has further stressed the values shared by CHORD and Berkadia and their unwavering commitment to diversity, equality and inclusivity in our pursuit towards an egalitarian society.
Mr.Mark McCool , President, CRE Berkadia has commended both Berkadia and CHORD teams for completing the school building in record time for the benefit of the children and wished all the children very best in their academic pursuits. He strongly felt he is blessed and humbled to be part of this noble effort that pursues the highest possible good for children and the neighbouring communities.
Speaking on the occasion Sri.Madhavram Krishna Rao garu , Hon’ble MLA, Kukatpally Constituency has appreciated various projects undertaken by CHORD at the grassroots and significant accomplishments in the areas of education and women empowerment. He has once again reaffirmed all his support and help in all aspects of their service. He had goaded the children to make good use of the schooling opportunity and do well in their careers.
On behalf of CHORD, Mr.Suman Malladi has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Berkadia USA for their generous donation towards the construction of our school for urban deprived children here in Hyderabad.
